How the NASCAR board works

Cup Series finishing orders for every points race since 2018, mapped to tracks and track types. Track history ranks drivers by average finish at this exact track, with the Next Gen era (2022+) split out — the car changed in 2022 and old-car track records mislead. Track-type form covers the last 10 races on this track's type (superspeedway / intermediate / short / flat / road) in the current car. Heat edge rebuilds race-day temperatures from the weather archive: 88°+ race-day highs mean a hot, slick track, and some drivers consistently gain or lose spots in those conditions — those leans activate when the forecast runs hot. Rain/delay outlook carries over from the free radar. Every lean is archived the moment it posts and graded against the finishing order. Historical records are tendencies, not guarantees; sample sizes are shown on every number.
